What is TCP Antiseptic Liquid?
TCP Antiseptic Liquid is aimed at soothing pain and fighting infection at the same time. A versatile topical treatment that can be used to combat a number of common issues, TCP can provide relief from throat infections and mouth ulcers, aid the recovery of cuts, grazes and stings, and reduce the appearance of spots and pimples.
How does TCP work?
TCP is an antiseptic. The role of an antiseptic is to help fight infection by preventing the build-up of harmful microorganisms. As such, antiseptics can be used to treat wounds such as cuts, grazes and stings, keeping infection at bay during the healing process. They can also be used to treat throat and mouth infections by preventing the growth of microorganisms that cause infection, inflammation and pain.
TCP alternatives
TCP can be used to treat a number of different conditions, but you may find that a more specialised alternative is more effective at treating your specific problem. For example:
- For relief from a sore throat, there’s Ultra Chloraseptic Spray or a cold and flu treatment such as Night Nurse.
- If you’re looking for a more specific mouth ulcer treatment, there are options such as Anbesol Liquid and Corsodyl Mouthwash.
- For spots and pimples, you may want to look into acne treatments; mild acne can often be treated using a face wash such as Acnecide, while a more severe breakout may require a prescription acne treatment like Differin Cream or Gel.
The Independent Pharmacy stocks a wide range of treatments for over 80 medical conditions conditions, so you’re bound to find a suitable solution whatever your issue.
