Flexiseq Active Gel Information
What is Flexiseq Active and what is it used for?
Flexiseq Active is a light gel formula that is applied daily to the soft tissue surrounding sore, stiff joints to ease pain and lubricate the cartilage making everyday movement easier and more comfortable.
Flexiseq Active is a drug-free gel suitable for the treatment of joint pain, in adults and the elderly, associated with all stages of osteoarthritis.
How does Flexiseq Active work?
Flexiseq Active is an aqueous gel that contains a product known as sequessome vesicles. These vesicles are small lipid sacs that transform their shape as the gel evaporates, allowing them to pass through the skin into the joints where they lubricate the cartilage, easing pain and stiffness.
How quickly does Flexiseq Active work?
With twice-daily applications, some people will notice a reduction in their joint pain and stiffness within 48 hours. For most people, however, it will take around 2 weeks for enough of the sequessome to be absorbed by the joints for results to be noticeable.
Flexiseq Active will become more effective the longer it is used and therefore it is recommended that for best results you continue using this product as directed long-term to ease symptoms of osteoarthritis.
Alternatives to Flexiseq Active
Flexiseq Active is a drug-free formula that is suitable for long-term use by people suffering from all stages of osteoarthritis. Flexiseq products are particularly useful for people who are unable to use other pain-relieving treatments such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or paracetamol due to underlying health conditions.
If you are unsure whether Flexiseq Active is the right product for you, take a look at The Independent Pharmacy’s Pain Advice page where you can browse our full range of pain-relieving tablets and gels.
