What is Epaderm Cream and Ointment?
Epaderm Cream and Ointment have emollient and skin cleansing properties formulated to deeply hydrate, protect and soothe dry skin. Epaderm skincare range has been designed by dermatologists and is recommended by doctors to ease symptoms of eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis in people of all ages, including babies. Both products are fragrance, colouring and SLS-free.
Epaderm Cream is a light, non-greasy formula that is perfect for daily use. It is quickly absorbed and has been clinically proven to noticeably improve the condition of your skin in just 2 weeks.
Epaderm Ointment is a greasy formula that has been designed for night time use to provide intense hydration to your skin. In addition to its use as an emollient and skin cleanser, Epaderm can be used as a bath additive to provide maximum moisturisation.
What is Epaderm Cream and Ointment used for?

How to use Epaderm Cream and Ointment
Epaderm is for external use only for the treatment of dry skin in people of all ages, including babies. For daily use as an emollient, skin cleanser or bath additive.
Epaderm cream and ointment as an emollient:
Apply directly to the skin, gently rub into the skin in the direction the hair grows.
Epaderm cream and ointment as a skin cleanser:
Use instead of your normal soap or shower gel.
- Wet your skin
- Apply a small amount of cream or ointment to your hand and lather into the desired area of skin
- Rinse after use
Epaderm ointment as a bath additive:
- Melt around 4 grams (£2 coin size amount) of ointment in a tumbler of hot water
- Once it has cooled slightly, add the mixture to a bath of clean, warm water
Be careful when using Epaderm as a bath additive as this can cause the bath to become very slippery.
Epaderm Cream and Ointment ingredients
The ingredients included in Epaderm Cream include: Purified Water, Liquid Paraffin, Yellow Soft Paraffin, Cetomacrogol Emulsifying Wax (contains Cetostearyl Alcohol and Macrogol Cetostearyl Ether 22), Chlorocresol, Glycerine.
The ingredients included in Epaderm Ointment include: Cetomacrogol Emulsifying Wax (contains Cetostearyl Alcohol and Macrogol Cetostearyl Ether 22), Yellow Soft Paraffin, Liquid Paraffin.
Epaderm Cream and Ointment side effects
It is unlikely that Epaderm products will cause any unpleasant side effects, however, if you develop an allergic reaction or irritation to your skin while using either the cream or ointment you should stop using it straight away. If your symptoms do not improve you should speak to a doctor or pharmacist for advice.
Epaderm Cream and Ointment warnings
- Epaderm products are for external use only. Do not use it on broken skin. Avoid contact with your eyes and do not swallow.
- These products may cause burns. Avoid smoking and naked flames when using either Epaderm Cream or Ointment. You should also wash clothes and bedding regularly to avoid a build-up of cream or ointment within the fabric.
