  • What is Acnecide Wash?

    Acnecide Face Wash contains the active ingredient benzoyl peroxide, which is effective at killing up to 95% of bacteria that is one of the main causes of acne on the face.

    This product is a powerful wash off treatment for mild acne that not only kills bacteria but it also absorbs excess oil produced by the skin and at the same time keeps your skin hydrated, leaving it less irritated and feeling soothed.

    If you are a child or adult over the age of 12 years and suffering from mild acne, Acnecide Face Wash is the product for you. It is easy to use and provides noticeable improvement to the condition of your skin within just a few weeks.

    What is Acnecide Wash used for?

    Acnecide Face Wash is an effective treatment for children and adults over the age of 12 years to treat spots and mild acne.

    Mild acne is distinguishable from more severe acne as the skin will be affected by blackheads and whiteheads but very few spots are visible and the skin does not appear inflamed.

    How does Acnecide Wash work?

    Acnecide Face Wash, like other acne treatments contains 5% benzoyl peroxide to kill the bacteria that is one of the main causes for facial acne.

    It also helps to reduce spots and blemishes by using microsphere technology to decrease excess oil on the skin that can block up the pores while at the same time releasing glycerine to keep the skin hydrated.

  • How to use Acnecide Wash

    Acnecide Face Wash is for external use to treat mild acne on the face only. It is suitable for use by children and adults over the age of 12 years.

    This product may cause some mild burning, reddening and peeling of the skin when you first start using it. It is therefore recommended that you start by using it once on alternate days and work up gradually to using it once or twice a day.

    1. Wash your hands before and after use
    2. Wet the affected skin
    3. Apply a small amount of face wash to your hands and apply to your face
    4. Leave the product on your face for 1 - 2 minutes
    5. Wash off with warm water and dry your face carefully
    6. Apply a gently facial moisturiser

    Acnecide Face Wash contains the active ingredient: Hydrous benzoyl peroxide.

    Other ingredients: Acrylates copolymer, Glycerol, Carbomer 940, Sodium C14 - C16 Olefin Sulfonate, Sodium Hydroxide, Purified Water.

  • Acnecide Wash side effects

    Acnecide Face Wash like other medicine may cause some people to experience side effects. These are normally mild and improve by themselves. If they do not improve or your condition gets worse you should speak to a doctor.

    Most common side effects affecting the skin:

    • Dryness
    • Redness
    • Peeling
    • A burning sensation
    • Itching
    • Pain
    • Irritation

    If you experience an allergic reaction while using this product where you develop facial swelling or having difficulty breathing you must stop using it immediately and seek medical attention.

  • Acnecide Wash warnings

    • Do not use this product on broken or damaged skin.
    • Acnecide Wash can increase your skin's sensitivity to UV light. You should avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or sunbeds while using this product.
    • This treatment can cause surfaces to become bleached or discoloured. It is therefore recommended to keep Acnecide Face Wash away from coloured fabrics and your hair.
    • Do not use this product with any other treatments that cause your skin to dry or peel or that contain benzoyl peroxide.
